While working in the devastated areas of Eastern Kentucky, the Guardians of Rescue Team received an urgent message from Animal Control Officer Perry. 4 puppies were discovered dumped, laying in the pouring rain, all alone and in desperate shape. These pups we covered in mud, barely breathing and no chance of surviving. Volunteers scooped up the pups to get them right to us.
Our Guardians team triaged the pups and gave them SQ fluids trying to save them. They were rushed by our team to an emergency vet for immediate treatment. The pups were in such bad shape, and despite every one’s best efforts, one has already passed. The three remaining pups, Bailey the girl, and Charlie and Ace are fighting to survive.
The pups were watched by a volunteer throughout the night, as soon as they were able to be transported they were brought to our Guardians sanctuary where there are receiving 24 hour care and monitoring. These pups are very sick and are going to need lots of veterinary treatments and care to get healthy. We need your support.
